Free Event for Bookworms, Art Connoisseurs and Cocktail Sippers
Chandler, Ariz. – The Third Friday Chandler Art Walk will include both the traditional artist showcases as well as special author exhibits and literary-themed cocktails on Nov. 18 for the annual Chandler Author Walk at Dr. A.J. Chandler Park, west, in Downtown Chandler from 6:00-9:30 p.m.
Participating vendors include over 35 local artists who sell a range of mediums; paintings, drawing, jewelry, woodworking and more. Many of the artists feature items that are $50 or less, making art affordable for all. Furthermore, for this month only, over 15 local authors are also invited to attend. Genres include paranormal, historical fiction, sci-fi, romance, and more. The event offers a perfect opportunity to add a treasure to your own, or your friend’s, bookshelf as the authors are readily available for signed copies. Most authors offer paperbacks at $20 or less.
In addition, participating restaurants and bars of the downtown will also feature literary themed drinks available for purchase the night of the event. The merchants and their specials for the night will be announced in the days leading up the event via the Facebook Event. Guests are encouraged to make a night of it by sipping on a cocktail inspired by one of their favorite authors and attending the event.
This family-friendly event is free-to-attend. Vendors are located in Dr. A.J. Chandler Park as well as along San Marcos Pl. Additionally, guests can enjoy live music by local duo, 76th Street from 6:30-9:30 p.m., and an interactive activity provided by literary magazine, Four Chambers Press of Phoenix. More information can be found on the Facebook Event.
