The long-awaited improvements to Arizona Avenue, creating an exciting, pedestrian-friendly environment, are well-underway and will continue through Nov. 2010.   

Arizona Avenue will have at least one lane open each way during construction; there are also plenty of alternate routes.

This $9.3 million project implements the South Arizona Avenue Corridor Plan and City Council's vision for a new "front door" into the downtown and municipal corridor from the San Tan Freeway.
