Chandler Jazz Festival

More than 40 bands will be playing on the Main Stage in Dr. A.J. Chandler Park, in the San Marcos Courtyard and along the downtown sidewalks. Beer and Wine Garden (volunteers needed!). Food and craft vendors. For more info, contact the DCCP at 480-855-3539.  FREE and open to the public.

The long-awaited improvements to Arizona Avenue, creating an exciting, pedestrian-friendly environment, are starting this month. Construction begins March 8th and continues through Nov. 2010. 
 
Arizona Avenue will have at least one lane open each way during construction, but there are also plenty of alternate routes to downtown.
     
This $9.3 million project implements the South Arizona Avenue Corridor Plan and City Council's vision for a new "front door" into the downtown and municipal corridor from the San Tan Freeway. Construction info: 480-898-4100.
