Chandler Museum trivia nights offer great food, drinks and fun with friends sharing their knowledge of local history

May 16, 2017

CHANDLER, Ariz–  Chandler Museum Trivia Night returns to The Ostrich Bar
in Downtown Chandler on Tuesday, May 30, with Hip Historian Marshall Shore
hosting the festivities from 7-9 p.m. Trivia Nights combine historic photos
from the museum’s archive with delicious food and drinks, and plenty of
kitsch and outrageous fun emceed by Shore. The Ostrich is located in the
basement of Crust, adjacent to the San Marcos Resort, at 10 N. San Marcos
Place.

“Our next Trivia Night is a fun way for people to ease back into a normal
week after the long Memorial Day weekend,” said Chandler Museum
Administrator Jody Crago. “Come out and enjoy a craft cocktail in one hand
and a pencil in the other while you answer questions about the history
behind some Chandler’s streets, their names and their happenings.”

This is the first of four trivia events scheduled by the Museum for 2017.
The second event on Tuesday, June 13, will move to a new location, Alamo
Drafthouse Cinema, 4955 S. Arizona Ave. From 7-9 p.m., attendees will hear
all about the East Valley’s baseball past as told by Shore and compete with
other trivia enthusiasts.

“We had such a great turnout last year for our trivia nights,” Crago said.
“This year, between Alamo Drafthouse and The Ostrich, we are having these
events at two of the coolest places in Chandler!”

Additional Trivia Night sessions are being planned for The Ostrich in
August and Alamo in October. Reservations are requested for teams of four
to six to take part in the fun at these events. For more information and to
