CELEBRATING HISPANIC HERITAGE WITH ART, MUSIC, AND DANCING

A Free to Attend Cultural Event

Chandler, Ariz. – Local handcrafted art, ballet folklorico, a youth mariachi band and a Tucson-based salsa-rumba fusion band; a recipe for a lively, cultural Friday night. In honor of Hispanic Heritage month, the monthly Third Friday Chandler Art Walk in Downtown Chandler is partnering with local cultural organizations for the Sept. 16 art walk.

This free-to-attend event runs 6:00-9:30 p.m. Entertainment will begin at 6:30 p.m. when Arizona band, Rubma Mezcal, begins their set. Guests are encouraged to arrive by 7 p.m. for a joint performance by Ballet Folklorico Quetzalli-AZ and a youth mariachi band.

When you’re not watching a performance, guests can peruse artwork from over 30 local artists. Many of the artists offer pieces at just $50 or less, making artwork affordable for all.

“We love this art walk because we’re celebrating an amazing culture. Plus, it doesn’t hurt that the music is great to dance to and the performances are a feast for the eyes,” Karli Ragan, Marketing and Events Manager of Downtown Chandler said.

The event is held at A.J. Chandler Park West and along San Marcos Ave. Bring a partner, because dancing is encouraged. More information on the event can be found on our website.
