Chandler Public Library Hosts its Third and Final TEDx Event for 2016
                   Breaking Stereotypes: Beyond the Box

            Youth speakers and performers for a youth audience

CHANDLER, Ariz. –  Registration for the third TEDx event organized by
Chandler Public Library – this one for youth, ages 9 to 19 – opens at
midnight on Friday, July 22, 2016. The TEDxChandlerPublicLibrary event will
be held from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., on Saturday, Aug. 13, at the Downtown
Library, located at 22 S. Delaware Street.

Each of the 11 speakers for this TEDxChandlerPublicLibrary event are youth
between the ages of 9 and 19, who are from the community and presenting a
unique perspective on the theme of Breaking Stereotypes. The presenters
come from different and diverse backgrounds, and collectively they will
give traditional talks, spoken word presentations, and artistic
performances that include music and dance. The emcee for the event is
17-year-old Janani Lakshmanan, a senior at Arizona College Prep – Erie.

   ·    Karalyn Schubring, age 17, Chandler Preparatory Academy

Admission to this event is free, and pre-registration is required. In order
to meeting TEDx rules, this event is limited to 100 attendees, so
individuals wanting to attend are encouraged to register as soon as they
can. Previous TEDx events at the Chandler Library filled within 48 hours.
