Downtown Chandler Holiday Banner Challenge

Downtown Chandler Community Partnership and SpreedPro Imaging invite Chandler high school students to submit holiday-inspired banner designs. 

All high school students within the City of Chandler/Chandler Unified School District are invited to submit their original designs.

Two winning designs will be selected to hang during the holiday season (November/December) along Arizona Avenue between Chandler Blvd. and Frye Road.

Prizes will be awarded!

Each winning design will receive:

  • $50 Gift Certificate to a Downtown Chandler Restaurant
  • Beautiful plaque to keep of your winning design
  • Scholarship: Downtown Chandler Community Foundation Educational Scholarship of $500

Timeline: 

  • October 17, 2016 All designs due/uploaded.
  • October 21, 2016 Downtown Chandler Art Walk – finalists' designs are displayed for patrons to vote for their favorite at the Third Annual Zombie Art Walk.
  • October 24, 2016 Design winners announced.
  • October 25, 2016 Design finalized and approved for production.
  • November 7, 2016 Awards presented to the winners by Mayor Jay Tibshraeny at the Chandler City Council meeting at 7PM!
  • November 14-January 13, Banners to be hung on Arizona.

Submission Guidelines (downloadable specs are at the bottom of the page): 

  • Banner must be in a “holiday” theme appropriate for display in a public setting in Downtown Chandler.
  • Adobe CS6 or lower
  • Designs must be to specified dimensions (see downloadbale specs at the bottom of the page)
  • CMYK color
  • Outline Fonts
  • 150 - 300 dpi
  • No logos or names on design – a special banner will be created to recognize the students and/or schools
  • Designs must be submitted as a PDF
  • Final design should be uploaded with title “DC holiday design challenge” on SpeedPro’s Website: http://www.speedprotempe-chandler.com/ftp_uploader.html
